Hydradermie Youth at The Zen Den in Glasgow

If your skin has been feeling a little lost lately, a bit dull, tight, or just not quite itself, I want to tell you about one of my favourite treatments to offer here at The Zen Den. The Hydradermie Youth facial is something I genuinely love performing, because the results feel so personal to each client who comes through the door.

A treatment that actually listens to your skin

What I love about Hydradermie Youth is that it is not a one-size-fits-all facial. Every step is adapted to what your skin is telling us on the day, whether that is dehydration, fine lines, dullness, or a general sense that your complexion needs some love and attention.

We begin with a deep cleanse and exfoliation to prepare the skin, then use ionisation technology to infuse active ingredients where they are actually needed. This is what sets it apart from many facials. The ingredients are not just sitting on the surface. They are being delivered into the skin in a way that makes a real difference to how it looks and feels.

After that, a gentle massage helps to stimulate circulation, relax the facial muscles, and support the skin's own renewal process. We finish with a personalised mask chosen specifically for your skin, followed by finishing products to protect everything we have just done together.

The whole session takes around 60 minutes. I always think of it as proper, dedicated time for your skin rather than a rushed top-up.

Is this the right treatment for you?

If you are noticing fine lines, dehydration, or early signs of ageing, the Hydradermie Youth facial is worth considering. It is suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin, because I can adjust every part of the treatment to suit you.

Many of my clients start with a course of three weekly sessions to give the skin a proper foundation, then come back every four weeks for maintenance. Others come in when they feel their skin needs a moment of care. There is no wrong way to approach it. We go at the pace that works for you.

What to expect on the day

You do not need to do much to prepare. Come in with clean skin if you can, and if you use strong actives like retinoids or acids, it is worth giving those a rest for a day or two beforehand.

Afterwards, your skin will look visibly fresher and feel softer to the touch. You can pop makeup on if you need to, but many of my clients prefer to let the skin breathe and settle for the rest of the day. I completely understand that is not always possible, and either way is absolutely fine.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Hydradermie Youth facial suitable for sensitive skin?

It very often is, yes. Because everything is tailored to you, I can adjust the steps and the products to keep things as gentle as your skin needs. Just let me know at the start of your appointment about any sensitivities, redness triggers, or allergies, and we will work around them together.

How long does the treatment take?

Around 60 minutes. I like to give each stage the time it deserves rather than rushing through, so you leave feeling properly looked after.

How often should I come?

For a good foundation, I recommend one treatment per week for three weeks, then a maintenance session every four weeks. But if you just want to come in as a one-off treat, that is completely valid too. Your skin, your pace.

Is there a course option?

Yes. Pay for five treatments and receive six. It is a lovely way to commit to a little ongoing self-care without it feeling like a big outlay all at once.

Are there any reasons to avoid this treatment?

If you have a pacemaker, epilepsy, are pregnant, or have certain medical or skin conditions, it may not be suitable. Please share your medical history and any medication you are taking at booking so I can make sure we choose the safest and best option for you.
