Training here is not a classroom exercise. You learn in the same space where Margaret treats her own Reiki clients every week, in groups small enough that no question goes unanswered.

Your Journey Through the Usui Reiki Levels
Usui Reiki is traditionally taught across four levels, and the time between courses matters as much as the training itself. There is no rush and no fixed timeline. Some students complete the full journey in around two years, others take longer, and many stay happily at Level 1 or 2. Margaret will always guide you on when you are ready for the next step.
Level 1: Self-Healing and Foundations
One day. The beginning of your personal healing journey.
Suggested integration: 3 to 6 months of self-practice.
Level 2: Practitioner
One day. Work professionally with clients if you choose to.
Suggested integration: 6 to 12 months building confidence.
Levels 3 and 4: Master Practitioner and Teacher
Two days.
Deepen your practice and learn to teach and attune others.
Our 2026/27 dates follow this rhythm naturally: Level 1 in July, Level 2 in November, and Master training the following February, giving you the integration time between levels that traditional Usui Reiki recommends.
Usui Reiki Level 1 Course: Self-Healing and Foundations
Who it's for: Complete beginners. Level 1 is all about you. It is the start of your personal healing journey, and no prior experience is needed, only curiosity and an open mind.

The history of Usui Reiki, the five Reiki principles
- Energy awareness
- self-healing practices
- Hand positions for treating yourself and others
- Grounding and protection techniques
You receive your Level 1 attunement during the day.

- Deeper energetic techniques
- Treating clients confidently

You receive your Level 2 attunement.
What this level opens up: Level 2 is the qualification most practitioners hold to treat paying clients. Many students describe it as the transformational level, where Reiki begins to influence everyday life and relationships more deeply.

Reiki Master Course: Levels 3 and 4, Master Practitioner and Teacher Training
Who it's for: Experienced Level 2 practitioners, traditionally after 6 to 12 months or more of regular practice. This stage is less about new techniques and more about embodying Reiki in everyday life.

- The master level symbols
- Advanced healing techniques
- Teaching and holding Reiki space for students
- The responsibilities that come with passing Reiki on to others
- professional practice guidance including insurance and ethics
A note from Margaret: Master training is not about rushing to teach. It is about developing the confidence, experience and integrity to hold supportive healing spaces for others. Some students feel ready within a couple of years, others take longer, and both are right.
