What is it?
A Dermaplane facial, also known as microplaning or blading, is a manual exfoliation treatment that uses a sterile surgical scalpel to gently remove dead skin cells, dirt, and fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). This helps to reveal smoother, brighter skin and allows skincare products to absorb more effectively.
Who is it for?
Dermaplaning is suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin. It’s a great choice if you want an immediate glow, smoother skin, or if you struggle with dullness, uneven makeup application, or fine vellus hair.
This treatment is available as a course. Pay for 5 and get 6 treatments.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a dermaplane facial?
A dermaplane facial is a manual exfoliation treatment that removes dead skin cells and peach fuzz from the surface of the face using a sterile blade. It leaves skin feeling smoother and looking brighter, with results visible straight away.
Will my facial hair grow back thicker or darker?
No. Dermaplaning does not change the colour, thickness, or growth rate of hair. As it grows back it can feel slightly blunter at first, but it remains the same type of hair.
Is dermaplaning suitable for acne or very sensitive skin?
Dermaplaning is not recommended over active, inflamed acne or broken skin. If your skin is very reactive or you have a flare-up of sensitivity, a gentler facial option may be more suitable. Your therapist can advise on the safest choice for your skin on the day.
How should I prepare and what should I avoid afterwards?
Arrive with clean skin if possible and avoid strong active skincare (like retinoids and exfoliating acids) for 24 hours beforehand. After treatment, skip exfoliants for 24 to 48 hours and wear SPF daily to protect freshly exfoliated skin.
How often should I book a dermaplane facial?
Most clients book every 4 to 6 weeks, in line with the skin’s natural renewal cycle. The ideal timing depends on your skin type, sensitivity, and the results you want to maintain.
